Adult use and the evidence

The off-label present: real mechanism, small studies, and honest limits
Sermorelin today is used off-label by adults. A review of growth-hormone-axis peptides lists it among those most commonly encountered in clinical practice and in online self-dosing protocols, where it is commonly framed as a "physiologic" way to raise the body's own GH pulses for body-composition goals. A retrospective chart review describes men on testosterone therapy who were prescribed it, alongside two other secretagogues, while seeking more lean mass and less fat. The axis does respond in older adults, but the outcome evidence is thin: the peptide review calls the human evidence limited and largely indirect.
This unit separates what small sermorelin studies actually show from what gets extrapolated, why IGF-1 monitoring matters, and why the animal longevity data cut against the simplest anti-aging story.
