Liraglutide reached indications and studies that most peptides never approach: a pivotal pediatric type 2 diabetes trial, adolescent obesity data, a fatty-liver proof-of-concept, and a sleep-apnea study. Each widened where the drug is used, or hinted where it might go.

This unit separates the approved pediatric uses from the investigational ones. The Ellipse and adolescent trials led to real approvals; the LEAN liver study and uses like PCOS or Alzheimer disease did not, and treating those as established would be a serious misreading.
