The strongest case for KPV, and its honest ceiling

Inflammatory bowel disease is where KPV's evidence is deepest. KPV added to the drinking water reduced the incidence of two chemically induced mouse colitis models in one study; a second study reported faster weight regain, reduced histologic infiltrate and lower myeloperoxidase. The mechanism (PepT1 uptake plus inhibition of NF-κB activation) and the results line up into a coherent story.

This unit lays out that preclinical case fairly, and then draws the line clearly: the mouse data is real and encouraging, but a registry search found no human KPV study and KPV is not a component of an FDA-approved drug.
