The positive results for dihexa all come from preclinical work, such as cultured neurons, memory-impaired rats and one Alzheimer's mouse model. Some of it is clean and some of it is flagged, and telling them apart is the skill this unit builds.

We walk the key studies, weigh their quality, and confront an uncomfortable feature of the dihexa literature: most of its positive findings come from one laboratory and from the company founded to commercialize its work.
