CJC-1295 is a small feat of protein engineering. Starting from the fragile natural GHRH(1-29) sequence, chemists made four targeted amino-acid substitutions to defend against the enzymes and reactions that normally destroy it, then, for the DAC version, added a chemical hook that latches onto albumin.

This unit builds the molecule piece by piece: the drawn structure, what each of the four swaps defends against, how the backbone resists the DPP-4 enzyme, and how the two forms diverge chemically. Understanding the chemistry is what makes the pharmacology in later units feel inevitable rather than arbitrary.
